He was born October 13, 1942, in Booneville to Harvey and Vera Hill Morris. He was a graduate of Wheeler High School and Northeast Mississippi Community College. He was a member of the Booneville Church of Christ, and he was the Night Manager at the Quartet Manufacturing plant in Booneville. He enjoyed playing checkers, hunting, fishing, gardening, yard work, raising animals, and tinkering. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Greg Pollack officiating. Burial will be in Blackland Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Palmer Morris, whom he married on October 26, 1967; a son, Chris Morris of Henderson, Tennessee; a daughter, Leigh Ann Morris Stewart and her husband Benji of Henderson, Tennessee; a sister, Carolyn Bigelow and her husband Bruce of Tupelo; three grandsons, Chase Morris, Noah Stewart, and Jaxon Stewart, all of Henderson, Tennessee; a special aunt, Virginia "Ninner" Hill of Blackland. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Billy Hill Morris; a special uncle, Russ "Paw" Hill; a niece, Debbie Ford; a great-niece, Laura Jill Morris; and a sister-in-law, Dora Ann Morris.
